  • Chinese Medicine, Acupuncture & Face Reading

The form of Chinese Medicine I draw from has been passed down from Jeffery Yuen to my teacher, Anne Cecil Sermon that foucses on constitution, psychology, and life histories. I also specialize in Chinese face reading from the Jean Haner tradition. Working with the subtle energies and different layers of the meridian channels, as well as through reading one’s life history on their face, I believe that nothing can not be treated. I have seen miracles, and Chinese Medicine is powerful not only for healing but often has the benefit of altering the lens in which one sees the word. Over time I see people breaking habits that no longer align with their new way of being and re-seeing the world. My mission in life is reminding others of how good they can feel.

  • 1:1 FOOD THERAPY

The ideal choice if you want a personalized plan that is tailored to your goals and lifestyle. We are quite literally what we eat. This work takes responsibility and agency on the patient’s end, which I compassionately support as we work together to determine what food and lifestyle choices are most appropriate for your work, family and cultural experience. I believe that when I see one person with digestive trouble, I have only seen one person, as no two people’s bodies are alike. Therefore, these session are time intensive, as we get to the physical and energetic root of your imbalances. All sessions can either be in-person or on Zoom and recorded for you as a gift in order to re-listen to each session, watching how you mentally and physically change, expand, grow in your wellness over time. We will work with functional medicine products as well as your local food and needs to have you return to that beautiful state of aliveness.

Improving your relationship with food

We will work with your body’s specific constitutional needs to bring fun back into eating and your body back online.

Food is Thy Medicine

Trained in Ayurvedic Food Science both from months spent in Kerala, India and from California’s Ayurvedic Living School, as well as educated in Western Herbalism under the tutalage of Christa Sinadinos at her Northwest School for Botanical Studies, I offer a hybrid of systems stemming from Eastern and Western food practices. I have gone to great lengths to acquire as many tools as possible to be able to blend a variety of philosophies together in order to create individualized nourishing food practices (Food Sadanas) that work for each person. All my nutritional counseling and food plans take into consideration someone’s cultural upbringing, their current environment, lifestyle, family demands, energy reserves and psycho-emotional habituations. I really want people to take the practices I provide in a treatment room, home with them through their own diet choices. Learning what we choose to put in our bodies and how it effects every outcome of our lives can be transformative for physical and spiritual health, translating directly into the health of our interpersonal relationships, whether that entails the ones at home or in the work environment. Thriving is possible for every individual.

Chinese Medicine, Acupuncture & Face Reading

Chinese Medicine & Face Reading

Much of our culture operates in a fight-or-flight, “sympathetic state”. While we do need adrenaline and states of hormesis to activate our biological systems and repair, very little healing can be done if the body is unable to turn the valve of chronic stress off. This is something that is becoming more and more of a challenge in our culture of overstimulation with screens, social media, and an outpouring of digital tools from which to learn and grow. Although both the brain and body do need to stay active in order to strive off mental and physical ageing, like any muscle—whether that be the brain/ nervous system or physical body, each need time for rest as well—or what nonfiction author and zen practitioner has coined as “Wintering” in her book “Wintering: The Power of Rest and Retreat During Difficult Times”. A beautiful work that acknowledges how much rest is needed in times of chronic stress, being crucial for restoration.

It is for this reason that it becomes imperative for us to sleep a minimum of 8 to 9 hours every night, for our glymphatic system—the lymphatic system of out brain—to restore our brain health, bodies, and overall wellbeing, returning us to a state of balance and ease, to once again be able to tackle our ongoing daily demands from a place of equilibrium, versus that of agitation and discomfort.

Chinese Medicine supports your body in healing itself.

Depending on the state of stress you have been under, for some it can take longer than others. However, the body—like the land, soil, and forest—has the innate ability to restore itself. And when supported properly, bodies can, and do.
